May 9, 2012Palm Beach County Clerk & Comptroller Launches Online Tax Deed Auctions with Grant Street Group
Pittsburgh, PA (May 9, 2012) — This June, the Clerk & Comptroller of Palm Beach County will begin conducting tax deed auctions online using Grant Street Group’s ClerkAuction® platform. Clerk & Comptroller Sharon Bock has used the ClerkAuction platform for online foreclosure sales since January 2010 and has listed over 45,000 foreclosures of which over 28,000 have been sold through the system to date.
“We’ve had a great deal of success with ClerkAuction for online foreclosure sales, and I expect our online tax deed sales will be just as successful,” said Clerk Sharon Bock. “Improving public access, customer service, and streamlining operations with technology is always an important focus of my office. Online tax deed sales will allow us the same level of efficiency and transparency that we saw from moving foreclosure auctions online.” continued Clerk Bock.
Grant Street Group designed ClerkAuction as a flexible and powerful application that not only auctions foreclosures and tax deeds online, it also provides the necessary tools to facilitate the Clerk’s workflow process including reconciliation of deposits and payments, and automated bulk printing of the post-sale documents.
“Grant Street continuously improves the system and tailors it to meet our specific needs,” said Un Cha Kim, Chief Operating Officer for the Clerk’s office. “We can now manage both foreclosure and tax deed sales directly in ClerkAuction and we’re eager to start selling tax deeds online,” continued Ms. Kim.
The first online tax deed sale will be held at 9:00 a.m. EST on Wednesday, June 13. Bidders can register and participate in auctions by visiting www.mypalmbeachclerk.clerkauction.com. The Clerk’s office will hold several training sessions for anyone interested in learning more about online tax deed sales:
