Broward and Volusia Counties Go Live with TaxSys® – Grant Street Group’s Web-Based Tax Collection and Billing System
November 3, 2009Pittsburgh, PA (November 3, 2009) — Today, Grant Street Group announced that both Broward and Volusia Counties, Florida have successfully implemented TaxSys®, Grant Street Group’s web-based tax collection and billing system. With the addition of Broward and Volusia Counties, Grant Street Group now provides TaxSys to 10 Florida counties, which contain more than 2.7 million parcels and generate over $7 billion in property tax revenues – over 25% of the State’s total.
Broward County, the second largest county in Florida, completed its conversion to TaxSys on August 24th. Sue Baldwin, Director of the Records, Taxes and Treasury Division, was very pleased with the smooth transition to TaxSys: “[Grant Street Group’s] commitment to customer service is evident in every interaction we had with [their] excellent staff.”
The County has also launched a new public site at https://www.broward.county-taxes.com/ where Broward County residents and business owners can search and pay real estate, tangible personal property, and local business taxes. “We are already receiving kudos on our new public access site,” continued Ms. Baldwin, “It is a pleasure working with Grant Street!”
Volusia County, the 10th largest county in Florida, went live with TaxSys on October 5th. Volusia’s conversion of their real estate, tangible personal property, centrally assessed, and cashiering modules was completed in only four months.
