Bay County, FL Tax Collector Goes Live with TaxSys®

BAY COUNTY, Fla. — Grant Street Group announced today that the Bay County Tax Collector’s office has officially gone live with TaxSys® as its new tax collection and billing system. Bay County, the 25th Florida county to implement TaxSys, is home to nearly 200,000 people.
In October 2018, Bay County was devastated by Hurricane Michael, one of the strongest and most-destructive hurricanes in American history. The hurricane caused a four-week delay in the planning and integration process, but did not prevent Bay County and Grant Street from finishing the project on schedule and on budget.

TaxSys is the country’s first fully-hosted, cloud-based property tax collection system. The software is used to process over 61 percent ($21 billion) of property taxes collected in Florida, using Grant Street’s private and secure government cloud.

In addition to TaxSys, the Bay County Tax Collector’s office is using Grant Street’s PaymentExpress® solution for payment processing and LienHub® for tax certificate sales, county-held certificate purchases, and tax deed applications – all seamlessly integrated with TaxSys.
